Shaker Simple Classic Kitchen
_______
The Shakers name comes from a Christian religious sect founded in England in 1747 and then organised in the US from the 1780s. They were known as ‘Shaker Quakers’ because of their excitable behaviour whilst worshipping. Shaker designs date back to this time and are characterised by simple square framed and classically proportioned doors. They are based on an uncluttered and orderly approach. The cabinets are characterised by a five-piece door with a recessed centre panel. The Simple Classic style is very clean and simple. The rich colour of the units and cabinets blends in well with a contrasting neutral and minimalistic white. Shaker furniture is renowned worldwide for it’s simplicity and quality craftsmanship.
