Shaker Manor House Kitchen
In line with their morals and beliefs, Shakers tended to keep their furniture minimalistic, rather than embellishing or dressing it up. They tended to keep it in its simplistic and most practical form, so as portraying its integrity and honesty. Although they had a preference for functional clothing, they did also have an appreciation to adorn rich colours. This is represented in many of the kitchens, including the Manor House Shaker. It has a rich pastel colour which adds a feel of space, light and character. The kitchen blends well with light work surfaces to re-enforce the feel off space.
