Shakers believed a good life should be lived with principles, and looked to install these morals in their everyday lives. These included honesty, utility and simplicity. These principles were also evident in the furniture they created, including the shaker designs. The Ivory and Walnut Shaker kitchen features a blend of lighter shade toned units, representing the ivory. The darker tone, epitomises a more industrial look and feel and gives the kitchen an added edge. It blends in well with featured walls or backdrops. Shaker’s preference was to oil their natural wood, however they were known to add depth in open houses with deeper and darker colours, such is the case here with the Ivory and Walnut Shaker range.
